INTHEGRain93

Inthegrain93 is a design company created by Darren Appiagyei, which focuses on creating bespoke pieces with a wood orientated theme. With every piece created having an underlying story based on personal experience or inspired by everyday life.

One of the key components of inthegrain93 is the exploration of exotic materials, with there being a emphasis on analysis, malleability and a understanding of material in order to create a functional object. Materials worked in the past are, African Blackwood, Banksia nut, cork oak, Cat paw oak.In the past inthegrain93 has exhibited at the New designers 2016 and AACDD (African &African- Caribbean Design Diaspora) 2015.
